American journal of primatology: The objective of the American Journal of Primatology is to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and findings among primatologists and to convey our increasing understanding of this order of animals to specialists and interested readers alike.

Animal behaviour: First published in 1953, Animal Behaviour is a leading international publication and has wide appeal, containing critical reviews, original papers, and research articles on all aspects of animal behaviour. Book Reviews and Books Received sections are also included.

Animal cognition: Animal Cognition is an interdisciplinary journal offering current research from many disciplines (ethology, behavioural ecology, animal behaviour and learning, cognitive sciences, comparative psychology and evolutionary psychology) on all aspects of animal (and human) cognition in an evolutionary framework.

Animal conservation: Animal Conservation provides a forum for rapid publication of novel, peer-reviewed research into the conservation of animal species and their habitats. Subjects covered include population biology, epidemiology, evolutionary ecology, population genetics, biodiversity, biogeography, palaeobiology and conservation economics. Anthrozoos: A vital forum for academic dialogue on human-animal relations, Anthrozoƶs is a quarterly, peer-reviewed journal that has enjoyed a distinguished history as a pioneer in the field since its launch in 1987. The key premise of Anthrozoƶs is to address the characteristics and consequences of interactions and relationships between people and non-human animals across areas as varied as anthropology, ethology, medicine, psychology, veterinary medicine and zoology.

Applied animal behaviour science: This journal publishes relevant information on the behaviour of domesticated and utilised animals. Topics covered include: Behaviour of farm, zoo and laboratory animals in relation to animal management and welfare ; Behaviour of companion animals in relation to behavioural problems, for example, in relation to the training of dogs for different purposes, in relation to behavioural problems ; Studies of the behaviour of wild animals when these studies are relevant from an applied perspective, for example in relation to wildlife management, pest management or nature conservation ; Methodological studies within relevant fields.

Biodiversity and Conservation is an international journal that publishes articles on all aspects of biological diversity-its description, analysis and conservation, and its controlled rational use by humankind. The scope of biodiversity and conservation is wide and multidisciplinary, and embraces all life-forms.

The journal presents research papers, as well as editorials, comments and research notes on biodiversity and conservation, and contributions dealing with the practicalities of conservation management, economic, social and political issues.

Global ecology and conservation: Global Ecology and Conservation is an Open Access journal covering all sub-disciplines of ecological and conservation science, from theory to practice, from regional to global. The fields covered include organismal, population, community, and ecosystem ecology; physiological, evolutionary, and behavioural ecology, and conservation science. There is no bias with respect to taxon, biome or geographic area.

Insect conservation and diversity: Insect Conservation and Diversity explicitly associates the two concepts of insect diversity and insect conservation for the benefit of invertebrate conservation. The journal places an emphasis on wild arthropods and specific relations between arthropod conservation and diversity. Key topics covered in the journal will include biogeography, climate change (and its impacts on distributions and range), conservation genetics, global biodiversity, integrating conservation science and policy, and long-term planning and implementation.

International zoo yearbook: The International Zoo Yearbook is an international forum for the exchange of information on the role of zoos and aquariums in the conservation of biodiversity, species and habitats. Investigative and data-collection work into the biology and behaviour of wild animals is increasingly dependent on co-ordinated effort and shared results between all institutions engaged in the study and preservation of wildlife.

Journal of animal ecology: Journal of Animal Ecology publishes the best animal ecology research that develops, tests and advances broad ecological principles. A primary aim of the journal is to publish articles detailing novel and important work that will challenge the way animal ecologists think. Journal of environmental management: The Journal of Environmental Management is a peer reviewed journal for the publication of original research related to managing environmental systems and improving environmental quality. Specific area of interest for the journal include: Development of technologies intended for applications to environmental ecosystems (water, air, soil) ; natural resource management ; ecological applications or conservation ; management and valorisation of waste (including industrial residues and effluents) ; development of methods for environmental quality management (new procedures, characterisation techniques, monitoring methods, governing standards, etc.) ; environmental system modelling and optimization ; environmental analysis and assessment (environmental impact assessment, risk assessment, life cycle analysis, material flow analysis, life cycle costing, emission accounting, etc.) ; Social, economic and policy aspects of environmental management.

Journal of field ornithology: Published on behalf of the Association of Field Ornithologists, Journal of Field Ornithology publishes original articles that emphasise the descriptive or experimental study of birds in their natural habitats. Articles depicting general techniques, emphasising conservation, describing life history, or assessing published studies or existing ideas are appropriate. The Journal is especially interested in field studies conducted in the Neotropics and those involving participation by nonprofessional ornithologists.

Journal of veterinary behaviour: Journal of Veterinary Behaviour: Clinical Applications and Research is an international journal that focuses on all aspects of veterinary behavioural medicine, with a particular emphasis on clinical applications and research. Articles cover such topics as basic research involving normal signalling or social behaviours, welfare and/or housing issues, molecular or quantitative genetics, and applied behavioural issues (e.g. working dogs) that may have implications for clinical interest or assessment.

Journal of zoo and aquarium research (Jzar): The Journal of Zoo and Aquarium Research (JZAR) provides a forum for publication of novel, peer-reviewed research papers, reviews, technical reports and evidence-based case studies. Through their living collections, zoos and aquariums are uniquely placed to contribute to conservation-related research. Research categories covered by JZAR includes studies in pure and applied biological sciences (e.g. behaviour, genetics, medicine, nutrition, population management and reproduction), in situ conservation research (e.g. socio-economic and field surveys) and research aimed at developing other roles of zoos and aquariums (e.g. visitor learning and marketing surveys).

Journal of zoology: The Journal of Zoology publishes high-quality research papers that are original and are of broad interest. The Editors seek studies that are hypothesis-driven and interdisciplinary in nature. New scientist: New Scientist is widely read by both scientists and non scientists as a way of keeping track of scientific and technological progress. Many science articles in the general press are based on its contents, as New Scientist covers the social and cultural impacts and consequences of scientific and technological discovery, not just the underlying science. The magazine carries regular features, news and commentary on environmental issues and is an acknowledged source of evidenced information from the scientific community.

People and nature: People and Nature is a broad-scope quarterly, open access journal publishing work from across research areas exploring relationships between humans and nature.We encourage conceptual and empirical approaches to answer interesting questions within this scope. Remote sensing in ecology and conservation: Remote Sensing in Ecology and Conservation is a fully open access journal from Wiley and the Zoological Society of London.
